Ross and Marian Circa 1930 and More......

Marian Louise Baker. A lovely young woman with a quick smile and a caring heart. She touched many lives in her brief stay among us. Some have never, ever forgotten. And hopefully with the help of some very important new friends, her story will never will be. She suffered hardship and she suffered the ultimate horrific tragedy but she was loved. And that is the most important thing that can be said about Marian Louise Baker. She was loved. And she was loved well.
For what she encountered in her brief days, God placed angels in her path and in her company.

Ross Dalton Baker and his little sister, Marian Louise, in 1930.
Marian often missed New Bloomfield terribly. And being so far from her brother was difficult. She was quoted as saying that she "wished there was a road that led from her new home in Conestoga to his home back in Perry County, so that they could see each other with field glasses."
The love of a sister for her brother and the love he felt for her never lessened and never dissapated.
In July of 2008, Ross joined his sister. No need for wishes or field glasses.
I can't even imagine the smiles for each other :)
